My daughter took me for breakfast for Mothers Day at the THE Marrick. Got a table enjoying the eggs nearing the end of our breakfast we were asked to move. The reason being a family of 2 adults and 4 children arrived, (the table...was 2 tables together sitting 8, we were at the wall end on 2 seats leaving lots of seats at the other table They had been sitting outside when it did start to sprinkle, which lasted for moments. This morning family of 5 when to marrick for breakfast we order coffee and kids order orange juice first after 10mins we order breakfast , and no other customers in the restaurant on that time ,long story short the breakfast is here we didn't get...our coffee , because we see other customers coming late they got the coffee we didn't n so we ask the girl say doing now so we wait after 20mins we finish our breakfast still didn't get our coffee, so we stand up to pay we still didn't make our coffee , not to much to ask only two coffee, We are living locals now never ever go back there again ,wish the old owner didn't sell the the business.
The Marrick always has an energetic vibe on the weekend as it is abuzz with cyclists after their morning ride on the weekend. The staff are friendly and quick to take your order. I had the breakfast granola which is a bed of warm seasonal fruits with crunchy coconut granola on top. It was sweeter than I was hoping for however really love rhubarb and apple so was quite happy with what I got. I have also has the raisin toast which is great if your going for something simple in the morning.
Perfect to sit outside on a nice warm day. Easy to navigate menu and affordable prices.We ordered the oatmeal which came topped with fruits but the oats itself were a tad too sweet for our liking. The vegan bowl was super delicious but didn't feel hearty but perhaps that's just me eating a lot. Would go back but consider ordering more to share to fill up the belly!

grilled tofu. looks delicious. taste amazing. fast, fresh and affordable. personal really nice and friendly. gerard, the owner was outside and had a nice chat. new seating and fit are fantastic. highly recommended.
thanks to gerard and his team for taking up a large group of us for lunch after a workshop. all commented on how great this was eating and was able to preorder made everything really easy on the day.
We dropped in here for a quick lunch and loved it! The roasted cauliflower salad special that my wife had was beautiful I had the grass fed burger very fresh and terrific value. We 'll be back!
New owners in late 2015 have resurrected this cafe and turned it into a lovely little lunch spot on busy Marrickville RoadGreat coffee and chai latte.
