The service at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. When we sat down and tried to order wine, we were told by the waiter that he would first be taking our meal orders. It took some convincing to finally get drinks for the table. When I tried to order my steak cooked medium well, the waiter insisted that I order something else. Despite the fact that the restaurant offers different levels of cooking for steaks, I was only allowed to order it medium. To make matters worse, our dinner plates sat uncleared for over half an hour after we finished eating. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I have dined at the Hawthorn location before and everything was excellent.
My husband and I needed to grab a quick bite before catching a film at the nearby cinema so decided to share a few small plates at the Meat and Wine Co. We were not disappointed. We started with the delicious calamari along with an...avocado, tomato and cheese bruschetta. We took the waiter’s advice and paired this with an Italian Pinot Gris which was a delightful drop. Our final two dishes were grilled prawns and grilled halloumi with rocket. Both were very tasty. This was accompanied by a glass of Barossa Shiraz. The food was all lovely and dishes were served quickly which was helpful as we were on a tight timeline. The staff were attentive and professional.
We have been to this restaurant many times, but today will be the last. While steak we ordered was exactly as requested and delicious, the rest was a let down. The mash' was over stimulated and had become glutinous. The salad order was incorrect and...the correct farm salad selected consisted of the minimum amount of iceberg lettuce, tomato and a few slices of cucumber. The pre dinner drinks never arrived. The table water was not refilled. Sauce that was not ordered was added to our bill. Splitting the bill was ways) took some time to achieve, but we succeeded. Sorry M and W we will not be returning.
Great night four our table of shared platters as starters then a steaks, delish skewers and monster ribs. They really take care with serving meat to your preference (my rump with African chilli sauce) was top notch. Also loved sampling the pork and...beef ribs. Service a bit slow on our night but friendly. Last table to leave but the party didn’t stop there. Tip: if you don’t want to hit the bars nearby later there’s a IGA store with good wine selection and supplies to take the party elsewhere.

Glasses of wine were extremely parsimonious....around of glasses. When we asked the Manager why there was so little wine provided he said they give required. We eat out a lot and most restaurants who value the custom of their Customers usually give a...half a glass. I sent back one glass ,on principle.....and in fairness this glass was not charged for. The non-caring manner of the Manager was very disappointing.
fantastic menu for everyone. make sure that they switch over the menu for even more diverse options. the heavenly is the most delicious dessert in my life delicious and full of taste. halloumi tasty, like the chicken kewer on the...Rack! do not smile too big a good size.
I went with my friend to this restaurant and we decided to split the recommended special, an old cut of meat. We weren't impressed by the quality for the price we paid. The meat wasn't as tasty or tender as we had hoped for. Overall, we were left feeling underwhelmed.
we had dinner here twice, because they know how to cook meat; to perfection. not only the expensive meat, but also the ribs, both pork and bark ribs. at both locations we experienced a good and knowledgeable service. we loved it.

I recently visited this restaurant with my nephew who lives nearby. He had heard great things about it and we were not let down. We tried a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious. The service was also excellent.
Fantastic food but the service was beyond terrible. And the staff couldn’t care less about the experience. Front office staff rude and unhelpful when paying the bill
