Melting pot has been a long time favorite and one of the first places I suggest when someone is visiting from out of town. But this time was vastly different than any prior visit. Party of 2, made a reservation because it was a Saturday and everyone is short staffed so it's just necessary in today's world. Reservation was for 145. Showed up about 140 and were told it would be a few minutes, as expected. We were seated at 220. Which was frustrating, but in an establishment like this, it can be difficult to estimate how long people will take, so I get it. My wonderful kids took me from Rockford, Il., to Madison, Wi., for a surprise Mothers Day dinner. This was all 3 of ours first time at the Melting Pot! We had 7:15pm reservations, but got there a little early! We expected them to be very busy, due to the type of restaurant it being a busy holiday. Abbie was our server. She was great! We had a wonderful evening! The food was amazing! My daughter’s completely fiction crazy review: I went to the Melting pot! you should go there cause I saw Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Ariana Grande. You’ll get some good food and you’ll be able to go on the stage and sing with Beyoncé and Jay Z so if you wanna do that it would be really fun! I swear they I gave us free tickets and free money to go to Disney World in Florida and wherever you want so you should probably head down to Melting Pot because you will never stop bye-bye
Very different and nice experience. If you like to do experiments while having good food, this place would be a very good choice. Really liked their Cajun seasoning. The raw meat and fish were very fresh and the cheese melt had a rich taste. Put a reservation before you go there because otherwise there will be a long waiting time. The place doesn't have the best atmosphere but it was ok. Have been to places where had a better service but overall we had a good experience at this place.

I will be honest as I am in all my reviews. This was my first time coming here after years of hearing how nice this place was. So for starters we had a 615 reservation and didn't get seated until a hr later. The savior of the day was our waiter Luke M. He was very kind patient and very attentive. To me he was the highlight of my experience because the food was OK but not worth the $90 I paid for my meal. Overall the food was decent but the experience and Luke was perfect.
I've been here several times and I love it! It's not just about eating a meal but it's an experience and a time to create memories with loved ones. I was here on Mother's Day while I was initially upset because we had to wait one whole hour after our reservation to be seated, our waiter Luke M. more than made up for it. He was very attentive, friendly, and efficient. He made our night great and worthwhile, he was perfect! Thanks Luke, you are awesome!
I have been to this place a few times now and each time has been amazing! The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, the food tastes great and is fresh, but most importantly the staff was amazing. Luke M. was our waiter and he was perfect! I’ll definitely be asking for him next time I go. All in all fabulous experience and will be visiting again.
I had the best Mother's day meal! Our server was awesome. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, she definitely needs a shout-out!!
