that was our second time in the mill. the first was exceptional in terms of service and eating. this time it was also wonderful, especially the watermelon bruschetta and snuggle. if we hadn't experienced such a big service yet, we wouldn't have thought twice this time. the mill seems to be a place that makes itself proud of its creative dishes, and I felt that this server did not capture that. we ordered a cheeseboard and two apps and planned to blow up before our meals. our meals came while we were about halfway through our first cure. the server that brought our main course expressed frustration that our main server had hastened everything.
Our food was all very good, but it took 15 minutes just to get a server and 45 minutes before the first dish arrived, which is a deal breaker when feeding a family. They seemed understaffed for a Thursday evening even though we were ahead of the dinner rush. Everyone was courteous, but it wasn’t a great first impression compared to the many great meals we’ve had all over St. Pete.
There were few customers since we were eating at an off hour, but the food was very slow coming out. The restroom wasn't clean and the furnishing are tattered. The place needs upgrades. The waitress was very nice and comped a beer without us asking. She knew the kitchen was slow.
Most people were seated outside but we had an inside table. Service seemed to be focused on greater numbers of outside seating. Service attention improved as more insides guests started arrive around 1:30om.

Been here 3 times now- Clever and fun!! The watermelon bruschetta is the bomb! And the fish is soooo fresh!! Desserts, forget it, leave room you will be glad you did! Will be back-!!
Service was extremely slow. We were given a different server after being seated for 20 min, still without a beverage order taken. Had apps, all just so so. Not a good experience.
Wow, the food was even better than it sounded on the menu! We had the cherry stone clams with shrimp and the meatloaf wellington. Service was wonderful. Can't wait to go back!
First time here and was totally impresses. Our waiter was fantastic (sorry I can't remember his name) the food, although pricey did not disappoint. Will definitely go back!

the pork shank pot pie was excellent. The waitress said it was her favourite dish on the menu and it didn't disappoint.
