My wife and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. The food, ambiance, and wait staff were all outstanding. However, I had a disappointing experience with the hostess who seated us. She was quite rude and even insulted me. I came dressed in a suit jacket, assuming that this was a fine dining establishment, and as we were walking to our table, the hostess asked me if my wife made me dress up, implying that I was overdressed. As a healthcare worker in the ER and a new dad, I rarely have the opportunity to wear nice clothes, so it was disheartening to be criticized for making an effort on this special occasion. The comment really bothered me...
I can't wait to return! This place has the best Maryland crab soup! I loved everything—the chef, the historic building, the food, the wine selection, and the menu choices. I came back for both lunch and dinner. It must be fantastic to enjoy the outdoor terrace when the weather is nice. I'm not sure why Open Table indicated it was closed at 8:00 PM. We arrived at 7:55 PM to see the building from the 1700s, and they were still serving customers. The Orvis shop across the street also looks really interesting. I’ll definitely be back!
Nice restaurant, like back in time. The food is good, although not very imaginative. I had the venison that was excellent, but my husband was disappointed by his fish entree. The Appetizers were very good (Brussels sprouts and mussels especially). But best were the desserts! You have a beautiful old vine Zinfandel through the glass, tried two more reds that were just ok. Although expensive, definitely a beautiful place to celebrate an event as it is elegant and relaxed (and maybe a little old-fashioned)
My husband and I celebrated a milestone anniversary at the Milton Inn, marking our first visit to this restaurant. We truly enjoyed both the food and the overall experience. I ordered the guinea fowl, while my husband opted for the duck, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional as well. We also enjoyed some salad, appetizers, and dessert. My husband and I recently celebrated 7 years together and we chose The Milton Inn as our dinner destination and we were so glad we did. We were not disappointed, everything was delicious, our steaks were cooked exactly as we asked and our waiter wasexcellent. This historic hunting lodge is charming and sophisticated and the live music was great (live music every Tuesday).Worth the visit and the food is worth every penny
Amazing! I never thought I liked French cuisine, but I was completely mistaken. Everything was fantastic, including the service! Just a quick note: if you order the zucchini blossoms, make sure to share because the portion is huge. We also savored the oysters, tomato bisque, salmon, scallops, and raspberry tart crème brûlée. Every dish was delightful, vibrant, and distinct. I highly recommend this place!
Absolutely amazing! We enjoyed the handmade cheese plate, poutine, lobster mac and cheese, and salmon with garlic potatoes. The atmosphere was comfortable, and everything on and off our plates was stunning and divine. Everything was incredibly delicious! Our waiter was exceptional as well. We also used the grouping service, which was very easy to navigate.
No special opportunity just wanted some new very romantic atmosphere, the food was I give it a 10 everything was wonderful the waitress was excellent. And friendly people. And yes, I'll be back to try something else, the food was great. I really enjoy the presentation of butter. Réservez une table maintenant
