We were returning home after a week in the highlands and stayed here as a half way point. The lady that checked us in was lovely and the place looked nice and well kept. However, our rooms were not in the main part but in...a cottage at the back. This cottage is not fit to be part of a hotel. Every floorboard creaks, every door slams shut. The beds creak and are solid. The shower was tiny. The walls are paper thin. Our room did have a lovely view though. There was nothing in the room to give you information about the place I.e Wi-Fi code, local area, food options (as the restaurant is shut). We booked for the Scottish breakfast which was priced at and it was beautiful!!! I would stay here as...
Not our first visit here , but hadn't been for a few years. I checked internet and it says B&B, food and entertainment. We have been here on numerous occasions and really enjoyed the food, which was reasonable and very nice along with weekend karaoke....The B&B is reasonably prices but on this occasion, I found rooms to be clean and adequate but dated. The hotel didn't serve food anymore (except for breakfasts) and no entertainment. There was just the four of us in the bar and at the barman asked if we wanted another drink he was closing up! Such a shame something has obviously gone wrong there, and unfortunately we won't be going back.
Extremely unhappy after my recent trip to the Milton inn.. Ordered dinner at and then had to ask at where it was, turned out the chef had lost the ticket.. Ended up cancelling my order after waiting an hour and still not having...it.. Embarrassing that they had the audacity to charge us nearly a tenner for soft drinks after us going up to complain and cancel out order.
My family and I visited here on Sunday October walked in and got seated no problem just started waiter service and he took our drinks order and then returned and took our order for tea the smothered chicken was delicious followed by crumbling apple...pie with cream was excellent definitely worth a visit Réservez une table maintenant
I've never stayed as a guest at Milton inn but my parents have stayed many times on their visits.. I've been a fairly regular visitor over the past or so years! I recently held my birthday party there..we all had a great night.....The staff are always so friendly helpful.. I highly recommend it:
