The Minster Inn in York is quickly becoming a top favorite of mine. It is conveniently located just outside the park and every time I visit, whether with family or friends, we are always greeted warmly, especially by the main American guy with a beard who provides excellent customer service. The drinks selection is superb and during my last visit at the end of June with my brother and friend, we tried the pizzas for the first time and they were delicious. The beer garden out back is also a lovely spot. I will definitely be returning on every trip to York, starting on August 24th!
Just visited York for the first time and used trip advisor to select this bar as it was close to our hotel, we visited a couple of times, mainly due to the friendly staff, during our first visit they pointed out that the tables and chairs across the road belonged to them, when sitting outside a couple of staff members came over and chatted, giving us invaluable info on York which we used during our break, we did not eat but the pizzas looked delicious.
would like to add that Adam was an amazing host..who gave exceptional service…nothing was too much trouble at all…it was a very busy afternoon and dealt with it in a calm and collected manner with a sense of humour… Caroline was also another great team member and looked after all the visiting dogs with great enthusiasm plus plenty of dog treats…I will be definitely visiting again next time I’m in York..Thank you Minister Inn
One of the best pints of Guinness in York! Very friendly staff who are knowledgeable. Even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon they were cleaning tables ready for the next customers. Can't judge on the food but those pizza's looked dead tasty! Only reason it didn't get a 5 was there's no vaping/smoking out back. But that's a minor gripe in the whole scheme of things.

What a great pub. Service at the table, great Guinness, excellent pizza and good friends. We did this during a lull in lockdown 3 years ago and thought it was time we did it again. We dropped lucky with the Minster Inn then so why change now? We've booked the date for next year. Excellent.
Lovely pub! Its quite small, but when we were there it was waiter service which was great. Booking is required at busy times, The drinks selection is great, pub grub is super, atmosphere is lovely. We will return next time we are in York!
I visited a charming pub in York last night, which was our last night in the city. We ordered delicious pizza and cocktails. The pizza was amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely return next time we are in York.
Excellent food and service, staff went the extra Mile when we explained re sons food allergy. Couldn't fault food or service 5 stars. Toilets clean too.

Perfect pizza at a perfect price, served with humour. Lovely vibes, music and historic decor. A hidden gem. Highly recommend.
Long time since I've visited York and the Minster Inn, glad to report the beer is as cracking as it was all those years ago.
