The Moat Inn Donaghadee

Food not bad but let down by the guy who served us: more interested in his hair than serving customers. I heard it was being sold and hope they don't keep this guy on, have met the rest of the staff coming in for a pint and they were all great. Pints are good too, just let down by this one person unfortunately and I won't be back while he is there as very rude.

I have to say that I have driven past this pub/restaurant many times and thought nothing of it. It was only tonight when we tried their early bird special did we find out how good it actually was! I see the last reviewer complained about the portion sizes. I can only assume they had a starter because our meals were excellent and the portions were enormous

I come here often with my Aunt and Uncle as they quite like it here. The specials are always tasty and the food and drink is of good price and selection. The consistency of the service and food is excellent. It is fantastic food/pub restaurant food. However, you may be waiting a little bit for it.

Great deal Monday to Friday 2 course 11.95 my partner and I had fish chowder it was absolutely amazing served with home made wheaten and the scampi was lovely and crispy the staff is friendly and helpful so nice sitting in the comfy lounge will definitely be back for the 2 course deal Réservez une table maintenant

First visit from restrictions were lifted and as usual it never disappoints great staff always made feel very welcome we both had steak cooked to perfection and portions were generous definitely will be making it a regular occurrence

nicest seafood chowder in Ireland , great value , also great dinner , Turkey , ham ,stuffing and roast , mash potatoes, veg and cocktail sausages cranberry and gravy . Friendly staff and homely atmosphere .

Another beautiful meal this evening! The moat never disappoints. Extremely underrated little corner of the Dee, outstanding food and great waiting staff. Excellent value. Thanks guys , hats off to chef x
