This was our first trip to The Morris, and as usual for a first visit we ordered too much and went away to realize that we had just eaten too much. But what a fun....has the 1/2 duck plate (more than enough for 2 people and started with a fantastic little gem salad with bacon and hazelnuts, along with a wonderful tomato and melon in gaspacho. And it's quite difficult to avoid the desserts... we had a hot Fudge sunshade with Stawberries and brittle, and a dish of big almond ice cream. Tartine bread (additional fee was as perfect as ever and wonderful butter to go with it. We were there early, so the noise level was very soft (big for old people like us). Wine map through the glass is very beautiful. The bar has a fairly limited number of liqueurs (1 vodka! but took care of our needs. We'll be back and a little more careful how much we order... maybe some of the little appetizers or a dish of chacuterie along with a less rich main course. Many of them are Heath, who is beautiful to see bread in a restaurant with Tartine (Tartine is one of their close neighbours.
We had a wonderful culinary experience and met new friends. The owner, Paul and our server, Jenna, were both amazing. We had to start the mushroom profiterole, cucumber with red pepper dip, then a nice peasant tomato watermelon salad and a smoked half duck! It was a fun night with wonderful wines and made new friends. We recommend this restaurant to everyone, but above all those who love wine and duck! YUMY
