We had a dinner at Nags while on holiday in the area. Staff members friendly enough, this a locals pub, not very touristy, so they will serve you and leave you alone, which is perfect for us. Food arrived quickly and turned out much better than we were expecting. My partner tried some local beer that he enjoyed very much. We had a pleasant meal at a very affordable price, what 's not to like. If you are 'foodie ' or fussy you may want to go somewhere else. We had a very good idea what we will be getting and to be fair it was much better than expected. Good, hearty, pub meal, perfect for us.
We go here at least twice a week mostly for drinks, but we do have the pie every couple of weeks and meet friends for food. How ever to day was a sad day not only has the price gone up but the size has gone down you couldn't rea see any pastry on the pies. We had 3 pies and a Sunday dinner. The quality is good but from what we had last week to this was disappointing. We did mention when asked if everything was ok our disappointment to two people, but didn't get an explanation for the lack of pie. So will only be drinking her from now on.
Brilliant atmosphere, log fire and lots of different type of people in the pub fantastic sunday diiner and the beer was lovley, staff really friendly and helpful... 100% and highly recomended
Our first visit and won’t be our last . The steak pie was delish . I’ve never had gravy just like mum makes in a restaurant before , friendly staff good value for money

Great food, beer and price. A great place also to Catch Covid for Christmas. Staff don’t wear masks, crowded pub great in other times but didn’t feel safe
The team came here for an early Christmas dinner. Unbelievable pie and chips and bradfield brewary beers. Everyone had a great time and great value.
Best steak and ale pie in town and the gravy is to die for. Excellentl value for money, friendly staff, lovely location. Very nice country pub.
Excellent staff and service for party of 27. All organised by email for a family get together. Lunch was pre-ordered which is quite sensible.

Totally miserable, anti social staff. Make you feel unwelcome. How the Star keep bigging them up is beyond me. Are they bunging them!
