In person, this place is straightforward, run by a genuinely nice and incredibly hard-working family. I've ordered catering for family events from here, and it has always been a hit. Steven may come across as serious at first, but he truly takes pride in managing the restaurant. I really hope more people will give it a chance. It’s not as upscale as Good Eats down the street, and it definitely isn’t loud or chaotic with long waits on weekends. Not that I'm knocking Good Eats—they serve fantastic food—but if you prefer a quieter dining experience, then City Diner is perfect.

I was staying at a hotel close by and thought I 'd order a diner burger for delivery. Opened my delivery app, ordered a cheeseburger medium rare with fries and a chocolate shake. Nice and easy, the app said 30 min delivery. The phone rang about 20 min later with a guy saying that he was delivery . It sounded like he was on the highway, I could barely hear him and I asked where he was. No answer. I said are you here at the hotel, he said something about a hill. It was ridiculous. I tried multiple times to get him to say something intelligible, but that was not working. Apparently he was in the lobby, but had called from outside. Annoying. Can't personally speak for the food, but 5 Stars to City Diner for making my elderly relative happy on Thanksgiving in the middle of a pandemic. I ordered her a meal for delivery and she was absolutely thrilled with it. Her building can be a little complicated to get in to, and as she is elderly can't move too quickly, but the delivery person got it to her door and she loved it. Thank you so much City Diner!
very nasty on the phone. all i asked was how late they served, and the answer was ,if i came in at 7:30 pm ,i was going to get food but he was going home at 8pm and closing at that time, so i guess i would have to gulp the food. maybe is good for breakfast and lunch , but not so for dinner, and a change of attitude on the phone would be nice

Food was amazing and the service was absolutely OUTSTANDING! We saw outdoor seating on google photos and brought our dog, unfortunately they didn’t have seating set up and the manager made us a table outside so we could enjoy our brunch with our pup. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating we will absolutely be coming back.Food: 5/5
Pancakes were stale and unappetizing. I’ve seen my 12 year old cousin make better ones than what I have been served today. Visual appeal of the food was not great. Who puts scrambled eggs on top of pancakes and ham below the pancakes?! Disappointed that this place can’t get the basics right.
Food was not all that for the expensive price. 2 Burgers n fries and 2 sandwiches, 2 juice and two shakes $88 plus tip...strawberry shake seemed to be syrup and the vanilla one tasted like a protein shake. Both watery and powdery. Was nice being with the family but I will not ever return.
This is the second time our order was delivered 30 minutes late and it was incorrect. The delivery person also left it on the ground. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money at this place.

This diner has a wonderfully warm, family-friendly atmosphere. I've been visiting for years and really appreciate the awesome new management!
