The New Oxford has been top of the tree for me, for years. Whenever I have friends visiting from other parts of UK or abroad, I bring them here. Tonight, I ordered drinks, outside, as per the regulations at the moment. The young lass brought me my ale, with a head at least of an inch. I asked for a top up. She said, That 's a pint. I replied, Do you mean that 's a pint glass, or that it 's a pint of ale? She didn 't seem to understand the difference. It went on and on. I explained that she had only served me with 4/5ths of a pint. She said, That 's all I 'm allowed to put in there. If I put any more in, my manager would sack me. I didn 't want to make any more of a fuss. I 'm sure next time,...

Although a short walk away from spinningfields we make an effort to come to this pub as often as possible. It is an absolutely fabulous place and we always enjoy our time there. They have more beers than any pub I’ve ever been to both on draft and bottled from the UK and all around the world. This guarantees you can get exactly what you want and at a reasonable price too. The service is excellent and the young lady seems to look after the whole place quite easily and often on her own. She even came over to asked if we wanted a refill which is unusual in a pub! There is a friendly atmosphere around the place and a nice outdoor seating area for when it is a bit warmer.

Set around a lovely historic Square in Salford this is a proper pub. It has more beers on draft and bottles then I’ve ever seen anywhere else so you won’t struggle to choose something to your taste. It has its local but is very welcoming to everyone. The service is superb and it isn’t an expensive place. It was a nice day on this occasion so are used the outdoor seating on the square. Here you can see loads going on and enjoy the views on to Manchester. Inside, the pub is very comfortable and cosy and it was so good to be back here.

Just a short walk out of Manchester City centre this pub is so special it’s definitely worth making an effort to get to. It has more draft and bottled beers and any other pub I know and all the ones I’ve tried our excellent. It is reasonably priced and the staff are simply fabulous. This visit was during the Covid outbreak and they had set up a brilliant one-way system which worked really well and made you feel safe. They have a nice outside seating area which had plenty of space and was lovely in the August Manchester sun. Réservez une table maintenant

We love this pub always enjoy our visit, this time we didnt, there was an overcharge at the bar, the female bar manager, who wasnt the one who overcharged us came over asking what the problem was, she was very very arrogant from the off,she said the barmaid didnt know that soda water was free, well im sorry but she should, its fine to make a mistake but it was the attitude of the fenale manager, she clearly has never been on a customer care course, she really let the place down

Far too expensive!! We popped in here for drinks after work. £13.40 fir a pint of Estella and a single gin and tonic! Too expensive for this area. I am a Salfordian and would NOT visit this bar again! We went on to get a drink n the Kings Arns across the road and only paid £10.50 for the same round. Come on New Oxford remember where you are! No wonder this bar was empty! Not recommended. What a shame when this used to be such a good bar.

A great locals place with a beer range better than all in the area. A bonus is its great Belgium beer range some on tap but mainly in bottles. The rating would have been excellent but for the foul mouthed drunken Irishman at one end of the bar. Losing a star for a customer, you say ? No, he is the landlord.

Tremendous range of beers on both keg and handpump as well as an enormous bottled Belgian beer list in the chalkboard. Nice, new 'ish green upholstery. As others have said, a proper pub with lots of good ales. Réservez une table maintenant

Very busy tonight with no special event on which is mark of how popular it is. Aside from the usual real ales, they do have a super selection of Belgian beers.
