We had no trouble finding parking, which was conveniently located with flat ground for easy access. Despite my mother's mobility issues, we were relieved to find the restaurant had no steps and a slight slope over the entrance. We had booked a table for Sunday lunch and were warmly greeted upon arrival. The service was exceptional, with a perfect balance of politeness and friendliness. We ordered the Sunday lunch with three types of meat and one portion of pork, and the food arrived promptly and looked amazing. The quality and flavors of the dishes were top-notch, with each component having a unique twist. The portions were generous, especially the three-meat option which was a satisfying ch...

What a wonderful gem, the atmosphere transports you to a beautiful waterfront restaurant somewhere peaceful and tranquil. My husband and I visited on the off chance for the afternoon and decided to have a spot of lunch. It was like being transported to the Caribbean, we tried a couple of the starters. The prawns dusted in coconut snow, were like little burst of yumminess in your mouth. The ribs in the home made BBQ sauce, was just fall off the bone delicious, I loved the authentic stickiness of the sauce on the ribs you could tell it was home made with love . Finally we tried the jerk chicken wings, I am not a particular fan of jerk sauce, but the wings has the right amount of heat and delic...

Sadly, I wish I could have given The New Port Arms a 5*. The food was good but two of us had to wait quite a long time for our meals to arrive, by then the rest of the party had eaten. The last remaining meals, one had some of the items missing that had been on the menu the other meal wasn't what had been ordered. Two of the other meals also had things missing. Overall, although most of the meals had been pre-ordered they weren't correct and it was a long wait for two of the guests. It had been a special get together that was tainted by the chaos of delay in meals and meals not being what was ordered. I have eaten at the restaurant previously and was happy with food and service but on this o...

The Sunday roast at this restaurant is excellent, as are the lovely staff and the beautiful marina setting. I dine here regularly since I live nearby, and every meal is consistently of the highest standard. For me, the roast is the standout dish and truly embodies a top-notch traditional Sunday roast. I highly recommend the fish and chips, with the fish being huge and incredibly fresh, and the batter perfectly light and crisp. The Jamaican Fish Curry is also a delightful option. Please keep the Sunday roasts on the menu! Thank you, Sue Schofield. P.S. The homemade horseradish sauce is the best I've ever had, made with love like all the other food here. Absolutely amazing Caribbean cuisine: This place has recently benefitted from the arrival a few weeks ago of Curtis a Caribbean chef. We had fish curry which was so light and delicately spiced I couldnt believe it. Literally the best fish curry I have had anywhere , I didnt want it to end . Also had smoky spare ribs as starter which were really sticky in a lovely homemade sauce. We cant wait to get back there again to try some of the other amazing looking dishes. I dont normally leave reviews but in this case theres no option.

Food was ok, fish ‘n chips and a Club Sandwich. Not a great view to be fair, sat alongside a dry dock with engineering works being carried out. Average wine selection, but pitiful beer selection. Staff friendly enough, but all orders have to be at the bar, so if you want a second drink, it’s back to the queue whilst your food goes cold. If you’re there just for a coffee, great, but there’s better within 200 metres.

On a Saturday, we visited this lovely hidden gem with stunning views. The place was impeccably clean. We enjoyed a fantastic brunch and took a look at the menu for our next visit. The prices were very reasonable compared to those in London. The pizzas looked incredible, and we are eager to come back.

Fabulous setting with a super cool atmosphere for everyone. Massive credit to the new chef Curtis who has certainly brought so much to the table. His constant desire to deliver superb food cooked fresh to order is clearly evident. My fish curry was superb! Réservez une table maintenant

Food was basic. Not bad. Service sucked. Stood at the bar and trying to order a drink and was ignored. Everyone served before I was. Was going to tip but then thought staff didn’t derive it. Won’t go again or recommend.
