Passed this place heaps of times. Called in on the off chance between work and shopping and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely meal and hosts. Fish and chips was enormous and reportedly very tasty. My chive mash, steak and ale pie with carrots, peas and gravy was very tasty. Will definitely return. The biggest surprise though were the fact they aren’t just dog friendly, they also provide meals for dogs! Awesome. (Dogs allowed in bar and pub garden, not in restaurant area
We went for a Sunday lunch and it was delicious! Loads of veg and extra gravy. Everything was super hot and the service was great. We had a dessert which was also very delicious. The pub is cosy and warm and made the perfect setting for a Sunday meal out. We will definitely be telling all our friends and will certainly be back soon!
Second visit to this charming little pub lovely warm fire, dog friendly and they even have a dog menu. We ate in the restaurant and had a delicious Christmas meal, turkey and all the trimmings. They also do amazing vegan options which several of our group enjoyed. Will definitely return soon.
We went for a walk in Bryngawr park and then we’re desperately looking for some food. We rang ahead and said we can take our dog into the bar area and eat. Tasty pub food for a Saturday night dinner. We both ordered the gammon and we were both very happy, very full customers! The landlord (possibly) was serving us, he was very friendly, polite and attentive without being overbearing. Would definitely visit again.
Delicious food and excellent hospitality. We had food off the special board which was fresh ingredients and well worth waiting for. Reasonable price drinks and dinner would definitely recommend a visit. Looking forward to returning soon.
Popped by for a pub lunch. Had a fab curry and faggots, really fresh, quick service, plentiful and really reasonable priced. Fab welcome by the owner and dog treats and water for our dog. Thoroughly recommend.
Had the Christmas dinner this evening and it was FANTASTIC. Lovely roast with great choice of options, beautifully cooked. A really nice cosy restaurant space and friendly relaxed service. Highly recommended. Réservez une table maintenant
Wow what a beautiful proper pub . Very cosy and the staff so friendly. Had a beautiful ham baguette with proper carved ham . Definitely worth the drive from Cardiff and will definitely visit again.
