Tuesday 3rd January .. decided to pop out for tea. We're locals, so always try and gauge how busy it is as to how long the food will be. It was quiet. No more than 5 people in the pub with at least 2 tables who'd ordered before us. We knew this because of the vinegar and condiments that were already on the table. Anyway, drinks ordered .....took us 10 mins to decide whether to eat, by which time one table of food had been served. Things looked good ...Ordered fish and chips and a steak ...waited 1hr and 10 mins. Watched the chef carry boxes of wine into the kitchen during the time of our food preparation....when we got our meal, chips were soggy and cold and the peas had started to dry up. B...
Waited nearly 50 minutes for food to arrive when we finally got it mine was nearly cold I ordered jacket potato with chili it was the smallest one I have ever been served and there was hardly any chilli on it the starter breaded mushrooms was supposed to come with garlic mayo when I asked about it I was given plain mayo all in all a terrible meal .I would go back for a drink as the pub is great and the staff are really nice ladies toilets smell something terrible but they have been like that for years
Today Sunday 15th July 2023. Ordered 2x lamb dinners. Asked if we wanted cauliflower cheese. Was not told it was extra. But anyway I did not expect 2 tiny florets. 1 florets of broccoli. A couple of slices of lamb. Two massive Yorkshire puddings, which hid the lack of food. Also don't appreciate the 2 aunt Bessie roast potatoes. Been here many times over the years. Food and service deteriorated. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. Also no cutlery and condiments for 5minutes
What an amazing place! Delicious food and drink at a very good price. Bev was an amazing server and sorted everything out for out table of 17 at a short notice! Credit to Kelly the chef for the food and the timely manner it came out in!

Food was ok but waited 50 minutes for food and the pub only had a few people in! No explanation beforehand and was told a fryer was down after the food came out. Won't be in a hurry to return
Went for a snack on a Sunday, liked the look of the Sunday dinner, but we were well satisfied when a fantastic omelette was served, really nice service too
Great Sunday lunch ,loads of it cooked really well enjoyed everything . Great service thanks Bev would definitely recommend.
Had 2 Sunday lunches, Ham baguette and 2 club sandwiches all for under £35. Top quality meals will definitely be going back
