July 2023: I came here for my birthday brunch (as I heard they were closing...its apparently in September for those interested) with a friend who had never been. It was easily the most disappointing dining experience of my life.I knew there may be a wait based on prior experience. I didn't expect the wait to be almost 2 hours. I didn't expect my friend to not be accommodated for a drink she didn't like. In my experience, any restaurant would have done something. Upon being seated, my friend asked for the drink she did not want to be removed from the table as she wasn't going to drink it. Last night, for a birthday dinner with friends, Andrea Dexter and I went to The Noble The restaurant is small, and offers a daily changing menu made by a single chef in their attached (TINY! kitchen. Just and FYI, this is the the type of place that doesn't seat anyone until everyone has arrived. For drinks, we ordered iced tea. I'm not sure what spices they include in their tea, but unfortunately it was undrinkable. Neither Andrea nor I drank more than a few sips. As anappetizer, we had the roasted garlic with bread. They served us 4 full bulbs of roasted garlic, which crushed and spread nicely on to the provided bread and parmesan for a savory treat! Delicious Unfortunately, entrees took 1....
My experience was absolutely terrible. The service, the food, and the so called owner were the worst. We waited an hour to be seated and another hour and a half to be served. My friend insisted on staying for her birthday brunch. We were asked how we liked our drinks and I told the server I didn 't like mine and that I wasn 't going to finish it, so she could take it away. She refused, and also refused to give her name. But we figured out that it was April. They took that as we wanted a refund and the owner came out yelling. Not once but twice. My friend was in the restroom when he came out so she confronted him. He came back a third time, yelling, and this time name calling, but with a refu...
It?s a pretty small restaurant, so not many diners can eat at the same time. I recommend arriving early, otherwise you may be waiting for a long time (some patrons waited over an hour for a seat). My husband and I arrived before the restaurant opened, around 4:45pm, and we were the third couple in line. The food and cozy ambience were well worth the short wait outside! We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup and it was super delicious. We also tried the goatcheese salad, which is now my absolute favorite salad ever! All of the entrees looked amazing and it was very difficult to decide which to order. On the day we went, scallops were on the menu, so I tried those. They were pretty goo... The food at this restaurant is delicious, but be prepared for a very long wait. I went for brunch on a Monday, arrived before it opened, and had to wait 30 minutes to get in. Once seated, it took another hour and a half to get our food. The service was attentive, with staff coming by multiple times for drink refills. The ambiance was unique and enjoyable. The layout is small with not many tables, so if you don't get in right away, you could end up waiting for hours. The food and drinks were delicious and unique, with a menu that changes regularly for an exciting meal. Some highlights from the menu include biscuit and gravy, brisket omelette with cheesy hash, steak faux benedict, Barbie blood...
We are huge fans of this restaurant and now make a two-hour drive regularly just to eat here. The cake is absolutely amazing and is a must-try. The portions are generous, and every meal I have had here has been delicious. Some things to note that add to the charm are: - The menu changes daily and is not available to preview ahead of time. - The restaurant is small, cozy, and intimate. - To be seated right when they open, you may need to wait in line outside, which forms 30-45 minutes before opening, even in the winter. - The cake is a homemade family recipe and is truly perfect. - The staff are all very friendly, and we always enjoy seeing our server. My husband and I had an early Friday night dinner at The Noble and we loved it! The small menu with straightforward options was refreshing. I had the catch of the day, my husband had a steak and both were delicious. We started with a spread trio that was perfect. The pink drink was just sweet enough with a sour twist and our server was happy to help with wine pairings. The dessert was my absolute favorite, an absolutely decadent dish layered with cheesecake and dense(I'm guessing pound cake) that I will be craving for the rest of my life! Although seating is limited, getting in for early dinner was great. Food and service was stellar! Definitely a new favorite spot!
We love this place so much we now regularly drive two hours to eat here. The cake will change your life. Don't skip it. The restaurant is an amazing little spot for dinner. We shared our meal, starting with a French onion appetizer with beef and cheese served with tasty bread. The main course was a steak with crab and shrimp. The highlight was the dessert, which was indescribably delicious! I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Everyone has raved about the restaurant, and the prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to my next visit!
