As it was our anniversary, we decided that for our meal out we’d just do the local pub grub rather than one of the other more dedicated restaurants locally. Huge mistake! Firstly, they did not have Port and the young lady behind the bar had never heard of it. These things happen and we ordered other drinks. We ordered the buttermilk chicken starters, one with the standard bbq sauce but the other with salsa on the side. They both turned up with salsa on the side. Oh well, we just got on with it. My husband then ordered the mixed grill with the steak to be cooked medium rare and I ordered the rump steak to be cooked just medium and no mushrooms. I've been here a few times but never again . The menu has changed and there were 2 vegetarian choices, a chilli or a burger. Gone are the pies and quiches. I don't like spicy food so it had to be the burger, this was spicy despite me checking beforehand. The disabled toilet wouldn't flush and the light was not working. I had to go in with my wife so I could use my phone as a torch. The place was empty, only 1 other table occupied and our 3 meals took almost an hour to arrive. Absolutely dreadful
Called by today at 12.10pm hardly anybody there at this time ordered starter and mains and sat in the garden, starter came everything fine then waited and waited and waited for mains, now a few more people in the pub and there eating there mains but not busy, asked where ours was said won’t be long, more waiting more asking more waiting then Finally 1.40pm overcooked rushed food turned up , I use the pub quite a lot but not anymore
I went to this restaurant to celebrate my aunt's 50th birthday, and the staff made the experience perfect! The food was reasonably priced and the staff were attentive. The bartender, Noah, took great care of us and even surprised us with the birthday cake and a song. There was plenty of entertainment for the kids and we had a fantastic meal. I will definitely be coming back again.

Visited with family of all ages for a birthaday get together. Impressed by the staff attention, made sure that we all received our meals together and no-one was left waiting Lovely family atmosphere. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.
On arrival there were 4 people behind the bar but only one serving, taking a complicated food order that took forever. All other staff avoiding all eye contact. Eventually after 10 minutes one of them decided to serve. That put a bit of a downer on the experience.
Don't cater for people with dietary small appetites, even tho 4 adult meals ordered, wasn't allowed to order off the children's menu for a person with dementia who enjoys small simple meals, ruined the night, won't return, shame
Don't know what has changed but the food a the menu use to be quite good here bean today Saturday 18th of May 2024 had a chicken burger not the best but the fries were like warm at best

I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was amazing and the pool table was in perfect condition.
This restaurant is not the ideal choice for dining and we do not plan on returning in the future.
