The strong smell of fish both inside and outside the room was overpowering. While I can appreciate that it is a fishing location, the lingering stench of rotten fish was truly unforgettable. Despite this, the overall experience at the restaurant was decent. However, the prices were quite high considering the quality of the food. At £130 per night, it is equivalent to the Hilton Glasgow, yet does not even include breakfast. The service at the restaurant was also lacking, with peculiar and uncommunicative staff. The Old Brewhouse in Arbroath is located right on the waterfront, offering stunning views. Our stay in the Signal Tower room was delightful, with clean and spacious accommodations and a relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant downstairs served fresh and tasty food, with generous portions. The seafood, especially the haddock and chips, was excellent. We highly recommend trying an Arbroath Smokie for breakfast. The bar has a wide selection of whisky and gin, and the staff are very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. The staff was very pleasant and we will definitely be returning again. The food and drinks were delicious, with generous portions - we especially recommend the fish and chips. The service was excellent, we rate it a 5 out of 5.
I recently visited this restaurant with my family for a meal. The staff were extremely friendly and created a very comfortable atmosphere. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and will definitely be returning in the future.
