I have visited this restaurant multiple times and always ordered the same chicken fajitas. However, this time they were extremely spicy to the point where I couldn't eat them. The chicken was dry and the seasoning was unfamiliar to me. I waited for a long time before my partner finished eating and the staff finally asked if everything was okay. When I explained the situation, the manager came over with a rude attitude and questioned me about the issue. I mentioned that I couldn't eat the food and didn't want to pay for it. Having lived in a nearby town for some time, we finally visited this charming canalside pub for our Sunday teatime jaunt. I never order a Sunday lunch but on this occasion I did and I wasn 't disappointed. The 'mound ' of food on the plate with a generous portion of perfectly cooked roast beef took me by surprise. Plenty of vegetables, perfect mashed potato meant our bellies were filled to the brim. My wife opted for an 8oz burger with added cheese and it was topped with onion rings, salad and chips. Last month, we decided to drop in for lunch at this restaurant on a whim. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to a table in the dining area. The service was attentive and friendly, providing excellent service. The food was delicious and generous in portion size. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend this place.

Lovely pub with friendly attentive staff. I had steak pie with home made chips which was really good. Pub is clean and well laid out with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Separate seated area for food service but we just sat in the pub area, my friends preference. Cask ales looked good but I had a shandy as I was on driving duty.
The food was good and although the menu wasn't as extensive as before, the portions were decent and tasted like home-cooked meals. It was disappointing to see that they no longer offer bread and butter pudding on the new menu. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Fantastic choice of beers, Cruzcampo not quite the same as Spain , as I live in . Staff excellent, pleasant and efficient.
