I would not recommend, following my mums earlier review we were a party of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids(ages 10yr, 2yr, 1yr). On arrival staff are polite and courteous. Went to the buffet with my 10yr and 2yr old to get food I told the staff serving the food that we had already paid for the buffet. The young girl serving us was very nice. She plated up my 10yr old food first and passed it over and started to plate mine when the owner (old, short blonde hair in a dress) barged passed me and my daughter to grab the plate of food that was for my daughter, shouted at the girl serving us and said you have put too much food on this plate and used the wrong plate and started taking the food off the plate...
Visited daughter who is at De Montfort university and went here for a carvery. Firstly, on walking in the pub had a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the effort they have gone to with Halloween decorations was second to none. The food was delicious, a great portion size and the staff were welcoming and polite. My daughter is gluten free and she was able to have everything she wanted with staff being very accommodating to meet her needs. We shared two dessert between the four of us as we didn’t really have room but they sounded to good not to treat ourselves. Again a good GF choice and both portions were big enough for two. We have been here many times, for work doo, leaving doos, pre theatre food. However, this is the first time we have ever been for the carvery today. Food was fantastic, all cooked to perfection. I had the pork and hubby had the beef. We left feeling stuffed. They were extremely busy today and we had to wait for around 20 30mins but we didn’t mind and the carvery was worth the wait. As ever very friendly staff and owners, nothing is ever too much trouble. Thankyou :
The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. We had a fantastic meal - my in-laws ordered the gammon and were very impressed with how good it looked and tasted. I tried the broccoli melt, which was delicious, and my partner had the half chicken, which was also very tasty. The portions were sizable and worth the money. Overall, we all had a great dining experience and will definitely be returning. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

went especially for everard's real ale and were not disappointed. the old original was on the square. the bardame was friendly enough and was under pressure on ourselves. we had a second round, but had to move dreams because someone near was an obvious weed user who obviously is not the fault of the pubs. a very pleasant visit and worth the walk on the hill.
Came here for the first time recently and would definitely return and recommend to others. Great menu with lots of veggie options. Delicious food at a good price and really friendly service. All bar staff were really helpful with allergies/special requests etc and helped find a container to take some beer home for an ill relative. Thank you!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Thomas in the kitchen was extremely knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and allergens, particularly my allergies to cherries and nuts. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Always a pleasure to go here, we went before a show at the De Montfort Hall and the food and drink were all really good. Would recommend to anyone

Got a threatening letter from them with a £60 parking fine. So did my sister in law. They must be happy to lose customers. Avoid like the plague.
