Absolutely beautiful place! This little hidden gem is definitely worth a stop at. The place was rather busy when we arrived over lunchtime yesterday which, in my eyes, speaks volumes! We managed to get a table in the window and had our orders taken relatively quickly given how busy it was. Food and drinks were lovely. I had an open sandwich and my friend had the sweet potato salad. We were both very happy with our choices and polished off a slice of raspberry cake afterwards. Lots of choice in the cake cabinet too made it tricky to choose but the generous slice was scrumptious! We have had several fabulous lunches here a mixture of off the menu and afternoon tea. We recently had an afternoon tea take away and it was absolutely delicious. We had a few dietary requirements, all of these were met with no problems. The food was beautifully fresh, tasty and presented beautifully. Hard to find and a very small cafe on the train platform.Was busy but had to wait over an hour for breakfast and was very disappointed with the very small portion. It cost £11 each then drinks extra.. If anyone is thinking of going make sure you book.. This place is fabulous. The staff can't be more welcoming and friendly. Very happy to please. Such nice surroundings too. The food was so lovely. The old lamp room is the place to go!!
