The Old Moat Garden Centre

On Sunday, we had an hour to spare and unfortunately were not dressed for a muddy walk. Instead, we decided to explore a garden center nearby and it turned out to be time well spent! The center had a wide variety of beautiful small items for the home and garden, including gifts, ceramics, and furniture. There was plenty of parking available in front of the place, and we noticed there was also a walled garden that we did not have a chance to visit.

We visit the Old Moat restaurant 2-3 times a week and absolutely love it! The staff are always friendly and dining in the café is a lovely experience. The added bonus is that they are dog-friendly. Our three dogs start getting excited as soon as we arrive because they know they will be treated to a tasty and warm meal. The restaurant has a strong sense of community and I would recommend it to anyone.

an underrated space to stop for coffee and cake, then buy some plants for the garden. lunch or breakfast options are good. always happy to support their work instead of a large commercial outlet. the latest renovation adds a lot. the new walled garden is a great place to run around for a coffee with space for the children. good options for gluten-free and vegan. dog-friendly. recommended.

I absolutely love the old Moat Garden Centre. It's one of my favorite places to visit. They have a garden area, shop, and café. The staff are all incredibly friendly, dogs are welcome, and I highly recommend this place. Not only is it a fantastic place to visit, but they also support mental health charities, which I think is wonderful. I love it here.
