I have booked the old original for a party of around a dozen people on Saturday night to celebrate a few milestone family days. I came here for the first time with my wife in the beginning januar and our group reservation was essentially up. the back of this very pleasant visit. so we had a little contempt that the food/service may not be with our only experience in the past on the game. we don't have to worry. from the moment we arrived, we were so well looked after by each individual employee. we had a few balloons for the table and also some single cupcakes to pass each guest and the staff went out of the way to help in any way they with them. about our party we have at least 5 of the opt...
We have visited The Old Original numerous times and are never disappointed, tonight’s meal met all of our expectations and more. I had the goats cheese stack it was amazing, the apple was a real twist which really worked and then the lamb fillet with...mash and veg from the specials board, Spanish flavours mixed with the traditional. I wanted more even though I was full it was so nice. Our daughter had the meatballs in a thick tomato sauce and the peppercorn beef with rice, empty plates told their own story. Recently visited for my brothers 50th birthday with 12 family members. What can I say the food was fabulous with amazing service. Just perfect! One previous reviewer had quoted that it was different owners I don’t think this is the case, same owners working hard...and couldn’t do enough for you would I recommend most definitely.
I look forward to visiting so many good reports about the years, but unfortunately not impressed. expects something special TBH standard of caf s in uppermill serve on better mess not think that we will return. steak was very Tuff chips soggy price was ok. but do not impress the menu before visiting

Yesterday night here. was a few times eating was always freshened and perfect. not a single negative .staff very attentive. they love the place . very happy to have a restaurant like this only e0mins car from my home.
We have been to this beautiful old pub restaurant many times over many years and never had Anything less than an excellent meal , always made to feel welcome, The best steak in a 100 miles , Fantastic
We were very impressed with this cosy pub. It has great pub grub, an imaginative menu, well chosen wines, attentive service and a wonderful vibe. Can’t wait to return!
Dined here on Christmas eve. Lovely food, nice cosy atmosphere sat next to the lovely open fire. Friendly, attentive staff. What more can you ask. Thank you very much

not sure if i like the menu with no price list on !!! if your on a budget you can get a shock when the bill comes not cheap but you get what you pay for and more !!
