Walked in there at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon for some drinks and to play pool. Put money in the pool table and within minutes the staff are telling the customers to come over and ask in front of the whole pub if we are going to buy a drink? Humiliating and absolutely ridiculous. Obviously we were going to buy a drink, maybe give us chance before shouting in a pub? Will never step foot in here again. This is how to lose customers. Would put 0 if I could.
Security staff (No SIA badges showing) searched our bags on arrival then took them off us as we walked in bags were left near the front door, we then reported to the manager who quickly gave us them back, Reported to SIA. 11/08/23.
Nice pub from the outside and inside. It would be lovely if the fireplace was fully functional, especially at this time of year!
Fantastic real ale town centre pub with at least 5 different ales on. Tonight the Titanic Plum Porter was a delight! Réservez une table maintenant
Open plan bar side and pool room. Upstairs function room. 6 h pulls good choice of beers. Friendly staff.
Went Saturday when in Poulton for birthday bash .No group on but plenty of real ales
Good local boozer with plenty of Real Ales . Have a turn on on a Saturday
