We live literally down the road and as we took our dog for a walk right past the pub, we stopped for dinner on the way back and sat in the massive beer garden. In actual fact, we were the only ones in there and it was great. Our dog joined us for dinner and she had pretty much free rein of the garden (on a 50ft lead). The food was hot and tasty and the service provided by Shaun by excellent. He was chatty and friendly and he did make me laugh when he kept saying I 'm sorry for no reason. I think it must be a British thing. Given covid, I am glad The Old White Horse survived and I really hope it continues to thrive. My only observation is the beer garden. It is massive, it backs on to fields and has a view of the setting sun but it 's a little bit underwhelming and neglected. However, this is just an observation and certainly won 't stop us going here again.

This was the best Sunday roast I have had in a pub/restaurant in years! The beef was really tender, more like you would cook at home yourself, and the roast potatoes were absolutely perfect so fluffy inside whilst crispy outside. The size of the Yorkshire well they wouldn’t be able to fit many of them into the oven in one go, they were so big!! Happy family type atmosphere, prompt service where nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended, and cant wait until I make my next visit. Well done all at The Old White Horse.

Stopped there for a coffee and lunch after a bike ride with my boyfriend. Felt very uncomfortable and not welcome because of the staff and other customers. Waited outside for 25 minutes for 2 coffees. Not only all regular customers coming after us been served first, we did not get what we ordered and left.
