that was an event that I was confronted with betrayal. liam made it all smooth running, like alex and the whole staff. the layout with the buffet (which was made fresh) was great and the tables were all nicely set up so that people...sit or stand and could mill around. Actually, I couldn't blame it as a place to keep an informal wake with friends and family. Many thanks to that they seem to make an otherwise extremely painful time, painless.
We needed a place to go to for lunch and drinks after a funeral in East Finchley on a Friday afternoon. Mike was very quick to respond to our last minute request and reserved a large section of tables together for us. The section we...were in was large with comfortable seating and tables. The service was very friendly and helpful. We ordered from the normal menu and everybody enjoyed their food, kids and adults alike.
The Old White Lion is one of our locals and we have visited many times, the food is always good and the newly updated menu has a selection to please everyone. We visited again in January and I am mainly adding this review to note...how friendly the service was. we came to Sunday dinner with friends and a big dog who is not always comfortable in the midst of hard and stress. All we ate was delicious (and good value) and the atmosphere was very quiet, relaxing and easy to go, even the dog enjoyed himself. The...Old white lion is a large venue spacious, well designed and very comfortable. it will also be reprocessed, so becomes even more intelligent.
had a fantastic Sunday dinner with children (and a dog). free prosecco for the mamas (and my man whose birthday it was),) great service and the best Sunday lunch I have been on site for years. the children also loved the burgers. service was good,... quick and helpful. I'm looking forward to another visit.
we stopped for lunch after a hankering for gastropub departure. After we were a few paints in the past, we knew we had a decent meal and we were not disappointed. the service was great and the 3 of us had a nice meal.

Food was ok, came out pretty quick. Service was a bit slow considering it wasn't busy. Some of them need training as they didn't know basic stuff like allergens
