The Olde Royal Oak

Just tried the new menu and can’t wait to go back for more. Had the handmade oak chicken strips in panko breadcrumbs with bbq sauce and the bbq sticky sausages to start both delicious. For mains we had had the cheeseburger with sirarcha sauce and a cheese ploughman’s, again lovely and great value. We will be back!

I ordered a pint of bitter from the friendly barmaid and it was very good. However, as I saw the tatty menu offering basic food, described with typos, I feared for my stomach. I ate a burger and chips and this filled a hole. The chips were sad, whilst to be fair the burger neatly included a piece of bacon for pep.

Been again tonight and had two meals from the specials board, they were lovely and great portion sizes. Very friendly staff, always made to feel very welcome there with our little one. Always love the selection of gins. The Happy hour and £10 specials board definitely make it a win win.

Only one real ale (Abbot) and that was only average. The pub could be so much better. The back room is decorated like some kind of crèche (bright blue) and is very echoey noisy. It needs some soft furnishings to make it so much more welcoming and comfortable. Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely local pub. Landlady and team very friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble. Food very good and helpings too. Family over from Australia loved it and the garden is lovely to eat in with your dog too. Very relaxed place for any age group.

Beautiful country pub, good beer garden, picturesque views. Great service, excellent food, and friendly locals. All are welcome with a smile and a little chat. Bouncing Castle for the kids and little play area.

I originally wanted something else but ended up ordering the lasagne, which was not very impressive in terms of flavor. However, everything else we ordered was of good quality and tasted great.

The restaurant has a beautiful garden with play equipment and a bouncy castle for children. The chef even made a homemade BBQ sauce for our son. We couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you. Réservez une table maintenant

Good old english pub... Lovely in the summer in the beer garden. Bouncy castle for the kids to keep the little ones from bugging while you have a relaxing beer or 6
