Great place to meet friends for a drink and a chat, the staff are friendly and always remember your name and drink. Clare the owner and her husband are great hosts, it's always a pleasure to visit The Old Trout. Beverage selection is extensive and inexpensive unfortunately I haven't eaten here yet to rate the food, but I am told by friends that the food is very good and cheap. Look forward to my next visit. Keep the good work Clare.

Great food and lovely staff. I have been drinking here once a week (I'm diabetic so go easy on booze) for over 10 years and have never been disappointed by the beer, the food or atmosphere. Busy in evenings but quietish at lunchtime which makes it ideal for a group lunch or session.

We did some acoustic sets and their open microphone evenings on Thursday. Always great fun. The staff and the hunters are really nice. Beer is good too. 100% would recommend.
