I went to this pub my first night in London and had a great time. Both bartenders were very friendly and it was a nice place to hang out and get drinks. We decided to come back since we liked it the first time and this time we decided to get gin martinis instead of beer, since this was advertised as a gin house. When my brothers ordered their gin martinis the guy said he could “maybe” make one and rolled his eyes. He made them and I ordered for me and my girlfriend and I got a beer and she got a gin martini. When I told him this he said “f*ck” and rolled his eyes again and made the drink.He was expressing to customers that he did not want to do his job. Definitely ruined my second experience...
This is the perfect pub to hire a function room. I had my birthday party here last night, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my guests had everything they could need! In the botanical hire room you get: Own fully stocked bar with a member of staff. BT proper speaker. Dart board, party lights, sofa and chair set ups and toilets just off the room. Drink prices were great- no London rip off prices and a couple of friends ordered food and said it was fantastic. Also great it’s independent! Really pleased with choosing this pub.
I may be a little biased, but I love this pub! the renter is obsessed with gin and over 350. the personal is super helpful when it comes to choosing a gin to try and the prices are super competitive (tonish is included in the price) I also like their upper floor bar aperitivo where they have more of the special edition gins and fabulous cocktails with Italian inspired snacks. my favorite drinks are neger and martinis
The bartender got angry and rolled his eyes and said “fuuuck” when me and my friends got 4 dirty martinis. If you don’t want to bartend maybe don’t work behind a bar. Just my two cents. We are just going to finish our drinks and get the hell out of here because clearly they don’t want us here
