We have a fondness for Knaresborough, so we opted to stay there for the night on our journey up north. We easily booked a room at a very reasonable rate. We received a warm welcome and the room was sufficient for our one night stay. The location was excellent, but being so central meant there was quite a bit of road noise throughout the night. We enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot and a pint served in the bar.
My first visit to Knaresborough. We were supposed to stay in Masham but couldn’t find rooms at short notice. We were made very welcome on arrival and shown to two clean rooms with huge comfy beds. All staff were friendly and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. We did and we will return. Thanks for the hospitality.
I went with my dog in this pub and we had a great time. staff very friendly and helpful. perfectly respected covid measures and exceptional food. they also gave my dog food and a bowl of water. I can only recommend it. a stop to visit the city. they experience the whole hospitality of north yorkshire.

We visited this restaurant as a family for the first time and were impressed by the friendly and welcoming staff. The food, from the starters to the main course and dessert, was excellent. We had no complaints and will definitely be returning again.
The bar staff were good, pub looked good and welcoming but ordered simple food which took 1 hour 10 minutes to arrive and was poor quality. This is way too long to wait for a bad meal. Wonderful pub but kitchen staff need attention.
only happen after a long walk through the knaresborough river. pro friendly place, they only brought our dog a bowl of water and some tasty, really friendly waiters always smile and helpful. I will choose this place definitiw again.

2. visit in this fantastic small pub in a quiet corner of knaresborough and was a nice room, comfortable bed and large suite. the personal was fantastic, nice ICED cooler and will be back soon!
