Unfortunately, due to the weather, not everyone was going to make it, but the hostess in the group celebrating her birthday , let the servers know in the beginning that not everyone would be there, and mentioned it would probably be about 12 instead of 20. It has been a few years since we last visited The Original Clam Tavern, but I fondly remember the charming, old-fashioned atmosphere of the place. True to my memory, when we entered, the restaurant still exuded a nostalgic vibe with its seashore decor and vintage menus displaying original prices. We kicked off our meal with their famous dozen baked clams, which were truly exceptional. The food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff are very friendly. It's best to make a reservation a couple of days in advance. I suggest trying the Pescatore, but all the dishes are good. The service, atmosphere, and food are all top-notch. Recommended dishes include Clams Casino, Salmon Oscar, Seafood Pescatore, and Stuffed Mushrooms. The price per person ranges from $30 to $50 for dinner.
The Spaghetti Crab here is amazing! The portions are huge, and both the red and white sauces are delicious. The Spaghetti with shrimp, scallops, and lemon butter is phenomenal. Everything I've tried at this restaurant has been excellent.
