This place has AMAZING FOOD AND AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The employees are always so friendly and cheerful. The reason for the 1 star is because of the way that the employees are treated. In the winter there is no heat and they have to cook with winter jackets on to keep warm. A small space heater is not an adequate source of heat when the front door is opening and closing because this place have so much volume and is always packed. Now that it is summer there isn't any air conditioning for them. They are given a fan now so now it is a convection bake oven in there for the employees. It is unhealthy and unsafe. Edit: Despite the owner's comment below, the lox cream cheese is still a disappointment. It simply doesn't taste like lox at all. In what I spread on my bagel, I observed maybe 3 or 4 tiny fragments of lox. I get lox cream cheese all the time in the places I note below AND regularly in New York, and they all have way more visible lox and lox flavor. It just seems very miserly. This is what my whole wheat everything with lox cream cheese looked like. I double checked just to confirm that's what I indeed got. They said that's just what the lox spread looks like. Absolutely love this place! The staff os super friendly and helpful, always delicious food and the order is always right. Great prices and awesome selection. Update: sad how things can change in 2 years. It's great to see a small business grow but if they are unable to manage growth. The growth then becomes detrimental to their success.you can't call ahead to place in an order as the phone is permanently on busy dial, when you go in to place an order they tell you 35-45 minute wait and somehow when you get your order it is always wrong. The service took an unusually long time, and the place had an unpleasant smell as if it had been ransacked. I've been enjoying bagels for longer than this establishment has been around, and if you visit any Jewish deli or Italian bakery in New York, you won't have to wait long for your order at all! Unfortunately, the bagels were flat and more stale than what you'd find at Dunkin' Donuts, which is hard to believe. I also felt that there was a lack of courtesy and consideration. The eggs they left out all day were concerning as well. On top of everything, I was charged over $11 for a tuna order placed online, which felt outrageous. I've really had enough of this place. I can't count how many times they've messed up my bagel sandwich. I've had to wipe off American cheese from my bagel on multiple occasions, and there have been times when I've had to skip eating my bagel altogether because the ingredients were completely wrong. Reading instructions shouldn't be that difficult.

The bagels are decent, but that's about it. It feels like the focus is more on quantity than quality, which detracts from the overall experience. They make solid bagels, but nothing extraordinary. The cinnamon raisin bagels, in particular, are disappointing. Each one has only 2-4 raisins and lacks flavor.

I just don?t understand how this is considered toasted. Maybe it was for a moment in the toaster but its still soft and mushy as if it weren?t toasted at all. What?s the point. Like do I really have to remember to say extra toasted each time. Annoying. Sorry for the bad review, I used to like this place.

Food is ok at best. But the wait is atrocious! Told 30 minutes for a toasted bagel, waited almost an hour. Meanwhile, you can watch the lazy employees on their cellphones just standing around.

Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. I've been coming here for over a year, and the food just keeps getting better. The staff is wonderful!
