I’m surprised this place isn’t more well-known; it feels like a hidden gem that many people haven’t discovered yet. It's located off Amsterdam Avenue. If you're using Google Maps, be cautious since it might lead you to the wrong address, but it’s actually at the corner of 106th Street and Amsterdam—you can’t miss it. I had the chicken parmesan hero today and it was incredible—not to mention, the sandwich was gigantic! You won't be disappointed if you pay a visit. I highly recommend stopping by on or before December 27, 2023.
Mama's has some tasty pizza! I ordered this for the first time tonight because I wanted to try somewhere new and figured this place has solid reviews. Overall I feel like this is a solid pizza place to go to and I will go back. My main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the fact that it is doughier than I'd like OR it could have used more time in the oven. The bottom had decent crisp but the pizza had a lot of flop to it. Flavor-wise I really have no complaints but I usually prefer a slightly thinner/crispier pizza.
I placed an order through Grubhub, but the food arrived more than an hour late. It appears that the owner either doesn’t know how to manage Grubhub on his end or is just pretending not to understand the situation. When I asked for a discount or at least a refund for the delay, since I couldn’t just sit around waiting for my pizzas, he told me to either request a refund through Grubhub or keep waiting. While the service was disappointing, the pizza itself was pretty good.

The regular and Sicilian pizzas are outstanding! The pasta dishes are quite impressive as well. One recent change that I've noticed is that they no longer accept phone orders, which I find a bit inconvenient; it was nice to be able to talk to someone on the phone during my last visit. Nonetheless, the meals are delicious and generously portioned. You can't go wrong with this place!
Mama's pizza has to be by far one of the best pizzeria around 106 and Amsterdam if you ever want to have a piece of New York come here and enjoy a slice or beef petty you won't regret it I promise
