The Original Pancake House

This place has been one of the most consistently great restaurants I've dined at over the years. It has never failed to serve great food and have excellent service!! I don't know how they do it, but it's great every single time!! I can't say that about many restaurants these days, especially after covid hit.

Best tasting pancakes in the area.. Best tasting BACON as well.. All the food is really good, the coffee could be better. Omelets are good. The Big Apple is good but really large. The French Toast is really good too, It's just kinda too soft for me towards the middle, I Like the crispy edges though.

I always get pancakes and bacon with grapefruit juice. It was delicious as usual. No one has beaten their pancakes, and their thick cut bacon is always perfectly cooked.

Better than IHOP! The pancakes are a sweet buttermilk, airy, and buttery heavenThey just melt into your mouth as you smear them.

I've eaten at Original for yearsI've been to all three in the Metro area, but Grosse Pointe is my favorite by far.

My food was cooked a little longer than normal but to my surprise it was still tasty. Service was good.

There is crack in the pancakes. Expensive but worth it
