The Original Pancake House

Overall, the food was outstanding. The pancakes were absolutely divine, and I thoroughly enjoyed my choice of the Santa Fe omelette. The atmosphere was also warm and inviting, and it was nice to see the staff actively working. However, I was taken aback by the prices. While the meals were reasonably priced, the drinks were shocking. A small 10-ounce cup of orange juice cost $4.99, while apple juice was $3.50. I could buy a whole gallon for just a bit more than that! To add to our surprise, we were asked about drinks before we even received the menu or knew the prices. When the bill came, we were all stunned, especially since we were mistakenly charged for extra drinks twice before we settled...

Food was good fresh, vast menu. Sunday afternoon, crowded smaller interior but clean w/fast service seating. Drinking class was not cleaned properly, white crusty residue on the brim. Waitress was slammed w/her tables a family of 6 so I didn’t bother about it she was great regardless. Reasonable prices considering location however hash browns are served as an additional side dish. The mushroom omelette and the Dutch baby are absolutely incredible! Our server, who I think was named Eddie, was extremely attentive. My coffee was always full, and he checked in with us after our food arrived to ensure that my son and I were satisfied. I can't wait to return!

I absolutely adore this spot for a delightful and cozy breakfast. The service was excellent, and everything on the menu is incredibly tasty. Be sure to check it out the next time you're in Chicago – they have eight different locations! Réservez une table maintenant

Great pancakes and a great alternative to the other “top” chains of breakfast meals. Cool staff and everything taste great. Coffee refills are complimentary and they make great blueberry compote.

Diner is foos is diner food until its done well. Then its delicious and wonderful. This place is the best diner food Ive had in a while. It was sumple but done very well!

Good breakfast place. Eggs and pecan pancakes were great. I don't know if it was an off day but the soggy hash browns were probably the worst I've ever had.
