First no debit or credit cards are accepted. Bring cash or checks. Aside from that inconvenience, I was MOST impressed and have EVERY intention on returning and bringing friends! I was met at the drive thru window by a most pleasant and patient owner who walked me thru the menu and made several great recommendations. The Golden Retriever (warm bread pudding with custard and caramel) was UH MAZE ING!! My Detroit dog included chili, cheese, and onions on the all beef hotdog and definitely didn't disappoint either. THIS is a fantastic local, independent joint that YOU need to visit, and should bring an appetite and friends!!
I Love Scoop Dog! Not being from that area my boyfriend made the mistake of taking me there .I am there everyday or every other day now getting my 'Birthday Cake ' concrete. They are the best! Some even know to give me a pup cup for my dog even when he 's not in the car with me. They have so many options to choose from on the concretes.. usually in out except in the summer which is to be expected .Thanks Guys, ya 'll are awesome
Wow talk about a hole in the wall place. This place, while not a looker is deceptively good! Pictured is the banana bread concrete. My only complaint is that (with the possibility of me just not reading well) the menu is sort of confusing. I was under the impression that the flavors on the board were options for ice cream, not flavors for concrete mixers.
The guys and I went to ScoopDog today and had a very good experience. The drive-thru moved quickly because someone came to take our order. The frozen custard was delicious and they didn't sneak on the blows. I ordered a turtle concrete and it was perfect. The boys had a Fudge Brownie concrete and they gave him high marks.
Just picked up my birthday cake...you guys did amazing another great cake. When you get lit and crave something sweet Scoopdogs is always the place to go. No matter how crazy of an idea of a diabetic coma concoction you can think of they will make it. My cookie dough-cookie chocolate cake is fire, thanks guys!
Always remember cash or just check, no cards! Today I tried the Golden Retriever with additional Pecans. So delicious! You cannot go wrong here, Special Hot Dogs (there is also a Hamburger Hdden in the menu) and Custard ice treated with so many 'fixins'! Such a fun lunch or dinner or snack place!
We liked the ice cream and the hot dogs were good, though a bit pricey for a small dog. My wife's snickerdoodle concrete was amazing. I got the junk yard dog, which was good, but had too much stuff in it and not enough ice cream. I'd still go back, but I'd order something else.
