The Owlery - Réservation de table

Being a good son to his non meat eating mother, our son chose this place for Sunday brunch when we came down to visit. It is a small and kind of dark shop off of the main square in downtown Bloomington that specializes in vegan and vegetarian food. Parking is simply the available street parking, which is free I believe on Sundays. We probably arrived around 11:00 and got one of several tables in the dining area, although it filled up rather quickly after that. My wife ordered the Huevos Rancheros $13 2 eggs, black beans, pico de gallo, home fries), as that's sort of her thing. She enjoyed it. My son went with the Chicken Fried Steak $15 breaded tempeh, black pepper cashew gravy, home fries)...

EXCELLENT FOOD AND EXCELLENT SERVICE! I came here multiple times during my weekend visit to Bloomington and I was seriously impressed with this place! I think it might be my favorite restaurant in all of Indiana! In the first picture you have the nachos which were AMAZING! In the second picture you have the chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy, also very good!!! In the last picture, you have the vegan Benedict (brunch menu only) and it was very good! I was pleased with how similar these vegan options were to normal food! I was also pleased with the service every time I went to dine out here! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and I hope they are in Bloomington forever!

We frequently dine here whenever we're in town. There's a wide variety of delicious vegan comfort food! The selection of beers is quite good too. Lunchtime can get a bit crowded, but when we visited at 4:00 PM (during school break), we were the only customers there.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The vegan food was fantastic—I ordered the tofu peanut veggie bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Julie, was incredibly patient and friendly; she truly deserves a shoutout! Réservez une table maintenant

Several nice sandwich choices, all vegetarian or vegan. The grilled cheese and poutine were fine, but both were too salty to finish. The owl decor is fun, and service was great. Worth a visit for a sandwich and a beer.

We were advised to try the nachos, and they certainly lived up to the hype. The dish featured corn chips topped with your choice of vegan or cheddar cheese, cashew queso, black beans, and pico de gallo...
