Very cosy and intimate vibes at a Merivale bar for those specially wanting somewhat out of the CBD hustle. Jack and Ilaria were very prompt and kind enough to reserve the upstairs bar on a Thursday evening without min spend so definitely worth the booking for those after non-Fri/Sat nights! Janos and the crew were very flexible in rearranging reserved tables last minute as well.
Simple food done well. Lobster spring roles were delicious. Our waitress was first class and my parents loved her (Czech Republic didn't catch her name). Very attentive despite being short staffed and very busy made the experience an awesome one thank you. Lovely share food and food recommendations. Parking: Easy public transport so skip the parking and enjoy a wine or beer with dinner. Apparently they're best known for the chicken-- which I will fully admit is on me, I messed up and did *not* get it. Instead, I got the beef rump which Réservez une table maintenant
You know what you're gonna get with ol' Hennessy - schmick, well-thought out, well designed venues with people-pleasing interiors and some kind of cool
