You can tell they are trying hard. I'm sure this place is a steady 4 most of the time. When I got there on a Saturday evening they were swamped. I took the chefs table, all alone in a corner with a view of the action. And oh boy was there action. The staff seemed overwhelmed the whole time. I couldn't tell who was the lead on what. I had plenty of time to make these observations as I was seated and ignored for the better part of a half hour. Maybe cause bigger tables matter more when you are scrambling, I'm not sure. Enjoyable pasta. Creative dessert.. This artsy restaurant makes it perfect for enjoying some of the creative dishes that come out if its kitchen. The pasta is a wonderful combination of perfectly cooked calamari, chorizo, tomatoes, basil, and feta. The squid is not rubbery nor overdone, while the sauce is thick and creamy. The chorizo is packed with a particular bite that oozes flavour with each bite. As you can tell: I thoroughly enjoyed this pasta.<br/ <br/ When I ordered the Apple Strudel with French Vanilla Ice Cream, I expected some sort of flat strudel (akin to that of the 'doughboy ' with ice cream lopped on top. Lunch Specials!. While I've never eaten at the Palate at dinner time, their lunches are to die for! They always have a couple specials, including a soup/sandwich combo that changes daily. The sandwiches are open-faced and melt-in-your-mouth good.<br/ <br/ I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves food and is looking for more than just your basic meat potatoes.

Excellent food we were drawn in to the restaurant by the wonderful aromas wafting outside. The Lemon Meringue Salmon and the Jumbo Sea scallops were excellent. The service was very good as well. Réservez une table maintenant

Best Brunch in the City. The Palate offers a wide variety of consistently awesome brunch items on Saturdays. Their lunch menu is great too. The staff is very friendly.

Best brunch in Fredericton. The quiche is drool worthy. Some of the best soup eaten. Smoked salmon eggs benny is another great option. A Fredericton jewel.

Love all the food here, but I have to recommend my favorite dish which is the Coconut Curried Chicken stir fry, with extra veggies, extra hot, my mouth is Réservez une table maintenant
