The Pantry on Egmont

Great cafe tucked away in the back streets of Hawthorne. Being a Sunday it was quite busy but we were lucky enough to get a table for 2 straight away. Great coffee. I ordered the smashed avocado which came with haloumi, poached eggs, dukkah and the house made chutney. eggs and haloumi cooked perfectly. The only fault was the chutney made the sourdough a little soggy but it was still delicious. My partner made up his own breakfast and he loved it. Busy little cafe, great menu. would return

I love this little cafe, which I think is a real gem. The food is fabulous, great waiting staff and quirky decor, it has never disappointed the many times I have eaten there. In addition to it's diverse all day breakfast and lunch menu, it has great daily specials, tasty options for vegetarians and gluten free, a number of good wines by the glass or bottle, freshly made juices as well as coffee & cakes. I only wished it opened in the evening, I recommend you try it.

After first coming here about 9 months ago, The Pantry on Egmont has quickly become our weekend breakfast treat. The food is consistently fantastic, service is always quick and friendly. The coffee is delicious.Although you have to get in early on Saturdays, if you're after 9:30am, you're definitely going to be waiting for a table.

A fantastic night had by our party at the Pantry on Egmont last night, we felt like we won the food lottery. Amazing little restaurant, excellent degustation menu with impeccable service. My wife and i stopped here to grab takeaway coffees on Easter Sunday. The coffees were great and the staff were very helpful. We loved the inside of the cafe and the food looked excellent so we look forward to coming back again soon!

They have monthly degustation dinners on a Sat night. You'll need to book quick smart as they only seat about 24 due to the small room size. The food is inventive and paired beautifully with the wines

Had a nice meal here for breakfast while I was in town on business. Again this is another place where the simple things are done well. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

The breakfast here was delicious and really well priced ($18 a meal average). It is a tiny cafe so we did have to wait a while but it was worth it. Réservez une table maintenant
