Went here based on the yelp reviews, but I can only give it three stars at best. Place was very understaffed with only two guys acting as both thevservers and the bartender. It's also a stretch to say this sits on waterfront because it is really boat slip front dining and currently there is major construction going on right outside the restaurant/boat slip area so it is quite unsightly. I had the blackened grouper sandwich with a side of slaw for dinner. Grouper was flavorful but did not come with a side of tartar sauce as I requested and I never did end up getting the tartar sauce because flagging down one of a two person staff was almost impossible. This is a dive bar located in the Tin City area of Naples. It's lively and fun, with great drinks. There's plenty of outdoor seating that overlooks the marina. The staff is friendly and hardworking. It's important to take your time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere, so don't rush your visit. We started with nachos topped with beef, then ordered the fried grouper fingers. My sister-in-law had the Overloaded Parrot burger, which she absolutely loved. We also enjoyed a couple of coconut margaritas, and everyone had a wonderful evening.
I visited this restaurant for the first time recently, and my initial impression was that it truly feels like a dive bar, with the smell of cigarette smoke lingering throughout the space. The interior had an uninviting atmosphere, characterized by scuffed tables and dirty windows, which likely explains the lack of customers. Perfect spot for a beer or cocktail late at night after they roll up the sidewalks in downtown Naples. Diverse crowd. Music. Loud but not rowdy. Friendly, hardworking bar staff. Nice selection of spirits, a few craft beers and the usual mega industrial soulless American beers... I went twice in my 4 nights at a nearby hotel with no bar. Overlooks the backs of some powerboats in the covered marina slips. I'd go back!
if you are military boycott this dump! went in with my ptsd service animal, som3one rushed up and said no dogs. i exolained i am a 12 year vet and this animal is my ptsd service animal to keep me calm. they literally said i dont care no dogs! not only is this insanely crappy to say but illegal to deni any service animal entry. any servicemen out there lets never go to this unamerican dump!
I can't rate them fairly on their food and service because they no longer allow dogs on their patio. We went there specifically because Yelp said the restaurant was dog friendly, but it's not. I'm only putting this review out there so others don't drive 20-30 minutes to eat at The Parrot Bar and Grill with their dog along with them.
Late post: Came here back in December of 2019. Service was good. The drinks were good. My tater tots were glued together by the cheese. It didn't affect the taste (they were delicious). It was just annoying to have breaking tater tots. LOL. I sat outside and the view was beautiful and relaxing. It was a great dining experience. Réservez une table maintenant
Casual dining at its finest. The service is excellent, and the drinks are prepared just the way I like them. I really enjoy some of the options on the menu. Plus, the owner is always on-site, allowing me to customize my orders. The scallops on a salad with honey Dijon mustard are absolutely amazing—truly the best!
