This isn't a reflection on the food or service, but the amount of rubbish that is left around the park i would say,that a lot of it comes from the cafe. Ok so it's the people who use the cafe facilities,but i walk around the park early in the mornings especially on a Monday morning, it is worse than ever,take away trays,paper coffee cups,chrisp bags so on,i see one fella,who has started to go out of his way pick up litter,because he is also sick of the state the park is left in after a weekend. MAYBE THE CAFE OWNER MAYBE SOME OF THEIR STAFF SHOULD GO LITTER PICKING ON A DAILY BASIS,AS YOU HAVE BENEFITED FROM REMAINING OPEN DURING LOCKDOWN..OR MAYBE TRY EDUCATE YOUR CUSTOMERS?.. I HOPE YOU TR...
I visited today for lunch, but only had 40 minutes since I was working from home. I ordered chicken curry with rice and chips. The first bite was good, but on my second forkful, I found that the curry was cold in the middle. I complained, and they took it back, bringing it back a minute later, presumably after a quick blast in the microwave. Unfortunately, it still wasn't right, and I could tell that reheating it in the microwave affected the quality of the rice. I asked for a refund, feeling quite disappointed. I often order curries from takeaways that delivery from up to three miles away, and they arrive piping hot. This café couldn’t even serve me a hot meal from just five yards away?
The Pavilion Cafe is really the heart of Chadderton Hall Park,i have called in on many occasions,this time i am writing as i have recently joined a walking group,that meet leave from the cafe, Chadderton park steppers meet about 9,45am on a Friday,leaving 10am promt,taking a walk around the local countryside, for around one a half hours,nothing to strenuous, before returning back too the Pavilion for a brew,bite to eat chat..No better place.
During Lockdown, we have been a regular doing a non parkrun on the Chadderton course that will make sense to parkrunners! . This cafe has become a regular feature of our post non parkrun run. The coffee is good and the attention to detail from the staff is spot on. We ordered 4 different drinks and they were put in the holder to match our place sittings. The customer service here is amazing. See you on Saturday for our regular order.

Love this little place. Friendly staff, homecooked tasty food and cheap prices. Situated in the park, it has outside space to dine when the weather is nice. It serves ice creams, sandwiches, cakes, does a great breakfast, always has home cooked food like pies, lasagne and stews available. Love going here for a coffee, lunch and a wander around the park.
My wife and I ordered two cheese and onion pies, along with chips, peas, and two cups of tea. Everything was delightful, and it was great to see locals enjoying the restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we had a lovely walk around the park afterward.
The menu has been updated, but there aren't many options and the prices are high for what you receive. I'm very disappointed, as I used to visit regularly for a satisfying hot meal. I won't be coming back unless there are more choices available. Sorry.
Lovely little cafe situated in chadderton park. Nice food, friendly staff. Just need to have proper opening/closing times as when you feel like going it’s based on pure luck that it’ll be open.

had lunch here today, had the potato pie with beetroot, piping hot and plenty of it. super tasty and delicious. will be eating here again when passing through the area
