This was a cool place. I was on my way home from work, on an extra long day. While driving home, I quickly searched for a bite along my route. It was just after 9p... most places were closing within mns. This place was a mere second out of my way stated it was open slightly longer than the other places. I was starved just needed something light before getting home to bed. 1st thing, ample parking everywhere. Coming in the entrance, 1st thing i noticed was the signage on the front door. Variety of menu options. Large portions. Full-service bar. Very clean establishment. Friendly environment. Courteous workers. Restaurant can host events such as wedding receptions, retirement parties, birthday celebrations etc. Prices are reasonable. I will most certainly be going back again. Following my previous visit, I hosted a birthday celebration for my mother on August 11, 2024, and the service I experienced was as remarkable as ever. The event had just over 40 attendees. Went for an early dinner on Tuesday. The restaurant was not crowded. Ordered Maryland Crab Soup and a sandwich. When the soup arrived, the server just put it on the table, not even in front of me. Upon tasting, it did not taste like the soup I ordered. Took a few minutes to get the server's attention and told her it was not the correct soup as you could not even see any crab in it nor did it taste correct. She said that they only use crab shavings in the soup not the real thing! Never heard of shavings in a soup that is supposed to be a crab soup. After that she did not return to our table until we were finished with our meal and asked if we wanted the check. Another server brought our check...

We had a funeral lunch at The Phil's Tavern, they were so accommodating for our group. Staff were amazing, great food selections, everyone was so pleased with their meals. Thank you, Phil's Tavern, we appreciate you all!

First time here. Great service by Patti. Food was awesome. At first nervous about the pricing. But for what we got well worth it and the food excellent. Definitely will be back. Actually cannot wait to return.

The meal is huge. We had to request a takeout container as they are big portions. I had the pork chops and they were thick and juicy.
