The Pickled Hering – Lunch was Perfect AmazingMy Husband and I decided to have a trip out in the winter sunshine for lunch on 8th July 2017. We headed for two rocks to stroll around the marina first and then eat lunch. We arrived and the restaurant was pretty busy but we were acknowledged and advised everyone seemed to have arrived at the same time. Next to us was a table of about ten so we decided to just sit and enjoy the view, take out time and enjoy the ambience. We went for dinner 2 weeks ago, we had a booking and happened to arrive during happy hour. That was great so we ordered and continued to enjoy our 2 for the price of 1 cocktails. After orderign our meals we were having a great time catching up and talking about upcoming events that it wasn't until an hour later we realised no food had come... We began trying to get a staff members attention to order another drink and enquire about our meals, but the one waitress was apparently flat out serving the only other table there that night. There was a lady from the kitchen who was also apparently helping with the front of house. Eventually we were able to order our 3rd drinks and were told our food...

Decided to try this place out after debating where to go for lunch.No service with a smile or any please or thank you's. Found the food to be very average. It wasn't overly busy.Not my favourite place I'm afraid!!On the plus side I thought the décor was nice & a great view if you sit outside

Stopped here on the way back to Perth on the off chance and glad we did. The service was first class and the food was delicious freshly cooked fish and chips with perfect mushy peas.
