We visited here as a convenient location for a family catch up. We were expecting standard pub fair and a good natter. The food however quickly became the star of the evening. Perfectly cooked scallops, fried fish fritters and sour dough bread started us off. These were followed by a wonderful blade of beef, a tasty crumb crusted cod and an amazing chicken supreme. The quality of the food was incredible and amazing value on a very reasonably priced menu. The staff were friendly, the service excellent and the atmosphere was that of a warm local pub. The front of the pub is a bit cramped when you walk in but the restaurant is lovely so don't let that put you off.
A lovely welcome from the landlord and the locals. We were shown through to a small but comfortable dining area behind the main bar. Decent choice on the menu. My friend being a vegan coeliac constructed her own meal from the options available, with a colour-coded menu available. My haddock was done to perfection. Chips tasted really good. All very pleasantly presented. I think we've found another place to add to our regular eateries. There is a disabled toilet on level access. There are two or three small steps in the Gents toilet. Parking to the front easily accessible.
We have just got home after having an amazing meal at the Pied bull. Their sunday lunch was delicious, had a starter of cheesy garlic bread it was freshly made and very tasty, for a main we had lamb and pork between us, both equally delicious and puddings we had crumble, fudge cake and a sundae. What can I say, very good value for money. Highly recommend. Looking forward to going back soon
Came here for a family meal. Very friendly staff and a warm welcome including a real fire. Good choice of food from pizza and a children's menu. We went on pie and a pint night. Very good choice of beers and ciders. I had the chicken and leek pie and was not disappointed. Already booked to come again foemr a Sunday Carvery. It is dog friendly too

We came for Sunday dinner. When you first enter the initial room is a bit off putting a bit smelly and dark but the restaurant conservatory is much nicer and there is a decent beer garden with a small play area. The food was nice and the staff were attentive.

Lovely food served in a traditional village-style pub. Warm and welcoming with a pleasant seperate dining room, we really enjoyed our visit to this place. All the staff were lovely and we'll definitely be going back.

Booked a table for 6 (family Christmas dinner). All 3 courses were presented nicely and tasted great. Service was efficient without being pushy which resulted in a very relaxed atmosphere. Thank you and see you again
