The Pier House - Réservation de table

Food very good but entrees way overpriced. Crab cakes MP $48! Insane! Salmon with spinach, mushrooms and rice delicious and good portion but $35 a bit high. Brussels sprouts appetizer excellent and well priced at $9.00. Desserts a disaster for those with any allergies beware. Hostess and asst manager lousy attitudes. Very young, some untrained waitstaff who stood much too close, especially during a pandemic. Made us very uncomfortable. For the last reason especially would not return.

Service staff was pleasant and professional. The facility was clean, with nice table settings. Appetizers: Escargot I’ve had better escargot from Kings frozen food section. Beet salad had to hunt to find pieces of beet. Main Course: Special Rigatoni in vodka sauce, topped with crab meat Lacked flavor, watery sauce, pasta was not a consistent temperature giving the impression a microwave was used to heat the pasta. Crab meat was plentiful.

We were sadly disappointed as we were here before and the food was excellent. Calamari and Escargot were very good, but pecan crusted Halibut was dry and tasteless and the Papardelle was just terrible. It seemed to us a probable function of inexperienced chefs, so we would probably give them another chance later. The server was nice and comped the pasta. The place is beautiful and hopefully they will get back to their camps soon.

Great atmosphere, nice ambiance under the tent. Started with onion soup, delicious. Then I had the pork osso bucco special with polenta, one of the best I ever had. Wife had chicken with brandy cream sauce, which she loved. Plenty big for leftovers. Wonderful duet playing contemporary music and you could hear the ocean waves. Service was very good, several young folks but all solid and friendly Réservez une table maintenant

We had a very nice evening and meal. First time for us a Pier House since it was rebuilt a few years back. The food was good, but not fabulous. The halibut was good, but a little overcooked. Biscotti for dessert was a generic biscotti, not a special one from a special bakery. Coffees were very good. Service was excellent by Gabrielle and others. Eating outdoors was lovely. I will return.

Our waiter, Dan, was professional, polite, and efficient. The ambiance was beautiful, although a bit loud. The food was excellent and overall, it was a culinary experience that my wife and I will definitely return to. My only complaint was that the prices for beverages were high. $13.00 for a bourbon and ginger ale is quite steep.

Food was very good, but, not thrilled with the rest of “package” for the price. Meaning, presentation- ambiance- service- organization. All need enhancing to become my go to place. I would eat there again but not before seeing what else is down the road first. Again, food quality and flavor was very good.

I orders the halibut and my husband the mahi mahi. Both meals were delicious. Dan was our server and he was friendly, prompt, and helpful. Very happy! Réservez une table maintenant

When we come to Cape May the Pier House is one of our favorites. Food and service are always good.
