RIght, as always, full disclosure as a podcaster and someone who has worked in the service industry from your basic places to 5 Star 5 Diamond establishments in Beverly Hills. So my reviews are based on experience and USUALLY not gripes. I also rarely read reviews before ordering, much like films, that is all subjective. SO! I love pizza, so much so its the name of one of the podcasts I do 'Free Pizza Vodka ' lol. So when I ordered from a place called Pizza 'Bakery ', my expectations were higher than they would be from Tops or something along those lines. The deep dish arrives, we take a bit and look at each other and say......does 'yours ' have sauce?!?! It was like bread and cheese and zero flavor and this is a corona free household lol. So I call and speak to the manager and was told that in our experience, if you use too much sauce, it just burns at the edges and the toppings don 't stay on the pizza. I have had pizza in Italy, LA, Detroit, NY Chicago (to name a few). I have never ever heard this excuse in my life. I was then told that if you leave in the notes that you want EXTRA sauce, we are happy to do so free of charge. Why not indicate this on the site? We are stingy with our sauce, so if you want a normal pizza sauce base, let us know. So money wasted, dry tasteless pizza in the trash, review written. For the record, back home we have a pizza called 'Detroit Style ' where you put the toppings on FIRST, then the cheese. No sliding toppings and no Sahara desert pizza. Anyway no refund offered, no coupon, no let us make you another on . SO on to the next place!
