Small signage by the road, if you blink you'll miss the tiny white sign, so check where it is before you head out. Booking is highly advised. You can do this online. You have to do a pre authorisation on your card, and if you're a no show, and the table cannot be re sold, you're charged at £30 per head. 3 areas of eating, oak room, or the dining room, or bar. The oak room looks out into the garden and is very pleasant.. Service was fast and efficient. Food was well presented, and tasty. Portions are fairly small. Great service! We didn’t have any reservation and they were able to find us a table despite the fact they were full. The food is absolutely delectable, from the starters to the main dish and the dessert. We had the tomato soup with their fresh sourdough bread and cultured butter, then the smoked rib flank and the peach lavender cream as well as the chocolate pot. The food at this restaurant is delicious, the staff is attentive and friendly. I had a wonderful birthday lunch here and would definitely recommend The Plough. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. Dining in for lunch, the price per person is typically between £40-£50. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top ratings of 5.
The dining experience at this restaurant is consistently outstanding, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend trying the fixed price menu - it never fails to impress. I had another wonderful dining experience on Friday at The Plough, trying their special fish menu. The scallops were fried to perfection and the lobster was the best I have ever had, accompanied by a great selection of wine. The restaurant had a beautiful ambiance, with warm and friendly service. It's no wonder it was packed.
