We were in the area for the British Grand Prix. Our accommodation did not provide food so I looked around and liked the look and reviews of The Plough Inn at Marsh Gibbon. After a long day all four of us were in need of refreshment. There is a separate dining area which suited us well after our long day. With a good choice of menu and this being our main pit stop we needed refuelling. We were not disappointed having all chosen comfort food. The chef cooks ham and gammon with coke and the result is delicious. We were well served and looked after, the beer was good too. I would have no hesitation in going back nor in recommending this fine hostelry.
Hats off to everyone at The Plough Marsh Gibbon for the grand opening of their restaurant. Jamie and his team served up a mouth-watering Sunday lunch for us. Michelle, Sam, and the rest of the staff provided exceptional service at the front of house. Best wishes to Edward, Helen, and the entire team as they embark on this new chapter with the restaurant. I will definitely be returning for more. Price range per person: £30–40.

Ben has created a lovely menu and is always keen for feedback which he takes generously. Great service, and you just know that everyone is giving their best. We had a wonderful meal and then stayed on for some awesome live music. A super evening throughout. Many thanks.

In these covid times, it t was so nice to be able to turn up and meet super friendly, smiley faces and get a good value drink. Emailed in advance, lovely messages from Stella. Great place. I can see the locals like it which is always nice.
I am delighted to see the restaurant open again. They have done an excellent job renovating the place. The local ales they serve are also very good. The price per person ranges from £1 to £10.

This pub is great in the summer as you can sit out on the terrace and watch the world go by on Wolvercote Common.
