Having left a previous review for the bar, I now want to comment on their restaurant. After eating in here around four times, I can say that the food is outstanding. I dont eat steak but my friends do and they said the meat was perfect, one even said it was the best he'd ever tried. Ive had their fish and chips and it is spot on, just as good as back in the UK. The highlight for me is their cottage pie, it is incredible and dare I say it, as good as the one I can make at home. Huge portions, delicious food, i am a very happy customer. Dä Hämbi, ergänzt mit Cole Slaw und Speck isch sehr fein gsi, die würzige Pommes au, aber zvill. Dä Cottage Pie hät mim Vis a Vis au sehr guet gschmöckt und vom Huuswii hämmer grad namal nabstellt ; Mini Begleitig isch begeischteret vo de Deko, de Atmospäre, em Lokal allgemein. Da's aber endlich wieder emal Dusse Sitzi Wätter gsi isch, hämmer ois es Plätzli dusse gsucht und so grad na chöne s'Bahnhofs Gwusel gnüsse. Würklich en kuule Ort! De Service chönti na es Müü ufmerksamer sii aber suscht: wiiter soo! Mir chömed wieder!
Basically OK. Tonight was a bit unlucky as the waiter was in an EXTREMELY bad mood. He was then replaced and the rest of the staff, service and kitchen made up for it. I had a well prepared tartare that was also very attractively presented. We were there as a group of around 40 people. 2 months later all OK. Das Beste Rindsfilet, dass man in der Umgebung kriegen kann und das zu einem absolut fairen Preis. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und schnell und das Essen wirklich sehr sehr gut. Wir waren sehr begeistert vom Service und die Idee, wie man eine Speisekarte an den Tisch bringt, entnahm uns ein Oho und Aha . Der Porter Burger war einfach fantastisch lecker so wie auch das Porter Hous Steak. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.
Went there for a beer and some fries. The portions are big enough and come at faire price considering zurich. Quite some choice in beer, cosy place where you can be inside or outside. Next to the train station
